Fact of the matter is that MOST, the VAST majority of demonstrations/protests were peaceful until police and federal LEOs came in and started using military tactics or suppressing peaceful crowds from demonstrating in certain locations. Only after that, when you look at the actual timeline of the George Floyd protests, did looting and rioting begin, and mostly as a direct result of police actions.
That said, I agree with MLK Jr. and Gandhi that all efforts must be made to keep these demonstrations peaceful, but as the article above demonstrates, other factions will infiltrate them and attempt to make it look as though it’s the “left” starting the violence, when in fact it’s almost always the “right.”
