There are 3.5 million truck drivers in the United States and the trucking industry employs more than 7.5 million people. That’s one out of every 16 workers in the country. These professional men and women not only deliver our goods safely, securely and on time, they also keep our highways safe. They deliver everything from clothing and food to medicine and schoolbooks to communities nationwide.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, September 9-15, 2018, is when America takes the time to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs.
