We all look forward to the crisp air, colorful foliage, and break from the high summer temperatures that comes with the fall season. However, busy back to school schedules and the holiday rush comes along with it. As a busy pet parent, it’s important to check in with our pets regularly to ensure they stay happy and healthy. When it comes to helping Fido enjoy life to the fullest, there are some things to keep in mind.

On Monday, September 23rd, veterinarian Dr. Lisa Lippman, will provide the latest health and safety tips on caring for our furry friends. From dispensing seasonal tips, to providing advice on what to do if Fido wanders off during the hustle and bustle of the busy season, Dr. Lippman has got you covered!

·       Stay Active: Between shuffling the kids to school, extracurricular activities and holiday shopping, it’s important to make sure your pups aren’t ignored in the shuffle. Make it a point to grab that leash and get outside each day.

·       Caution: Speaking of the outdoors, it’s important to keep any eye out for anything harmful to your pet while out on a walk or in the park. Be mindful of salt and other chemicals that can be rough on paws. Use protective gear such as booties or paw wax and always clean their paws when you return home.

·       Critters: Just because summer is over doesn’t mean flea and tick season is. The season can last into late fall depending on where you live. Make sure your pets have year-round protection.

·       Smart Tags: As responsible dog owners, we always be aware of the risks of a missing dog. Rest easy by fitting them with a smart dog tag that delivers more information to help get your lost dog home more quickly.
