Hello Bill, I listen to your show at 2:00 am in L.A. and like it a lot. I love your Christ-follower perspective. But thus morning you were talking to someone about how important numbers are to God, and how exacting He is about them. Well, can you count to 7? It is the 7th Day of the week that God rested from his work, and is the very day that he required the Israelites to rest and worship him. Christ rose on the first day of the week, the first day of God’s work-week calendar. No where does Scripture support changing that day to the first day. Acts 20:7 tells us the disciples met and broke bread on the first day, but that would be the day after they rested on the Sabbath. And surely they did keep the Sabbath just as they had kept the Days if Unleavened Bread the week before (v. 6). So if you are going to crunch numbers with your guest and how important they are, why are you not crunch the reality of the number 7 in His plan, the day He commands us to stop our work and turn our foot towards Him and rest from our labor of love and to worship Him?
