In November, Bank of America released its fall 2015 Small Business Owner Report, a semi-annual study exploring the concerns, aspirations and perspectives of 1,000 small business owners (SBOs) across the country. This iteration of the report explored the evolving small business landscape, including workplace culture and the adoption of technology.

According to the survey, almost all (93%) small business owners believe that changing technology has helped their business, with an additional 88% reporting that technology helps them better serve their customers. Technology is also causing a shift in the workplace as 39% of SBOs report that their workplace has become more tech-focused over the past five years. Small businesses have also become more collaborative (33%) and flexible (31%). Not surprisingly, a growing number of SBOs are offering telecommuting options to their employees – 47% now offer this option, compared to 35% five years ago.
