His new book, Underserved harnesses the principles of Lincoln’s vision for reconstruction. The untimely death of Abraham Lincoln not only marked the end of one of America’s greatest presidential administrations, but it also set the stage for a period known as Reconstruction. This legacy was unfortunately mishandled by his successor but advocate and allies like Ulysses S. Grant and Frederick Douglas sought to implement Lincoln’s vision. Today we suffer for the shortfall of Reconstruction’s objectives. But it doesn’t mean it's over. His co-author Chris Pilkerton is a former cabinet member and head of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
